Roofers who live where you live
International Roofing is based on Lee Road in Fort Myers, a few minutes from Daniels Parkway and I-75. Our crews, our office, and our family are here. When you call 239-202-8103 you reach the people who will actually be on your roof, not a call center.
We are the Vargas family. We started International Roofing in 2018, after Hurricane Irma showed how badly Southwest Florida needed a roofer who answers the phone, shows up when promised, and explains the work in plain language. Our team brings more than 25 years of roofing experience, and we are a licensed and insured Florida Certified Roofing Contractor (license CCC1332289). We have been nominated Best Roofing Contractor in Southwest Florida three years in a row.

What Fort Myers roofs go through
Fort Myers roofs take a beating that roofs in most of the country never see. Summer brings daily thunderstorms and some of the highest rainfall totals in Florida. June 2026 alone broke daily rainfall records here. Hurricane Ian in September 2022 tore off roofs from Fort Myers Beach to Gateway, and many homes still carry temporary or rushed repairs from that year. Between storms, the sun and humidity age underlayment, dry out sealants, and grow algae on tile and shingle.
That is why we recommend a professional inspection at least once a year and before every hurricane season. Our Storm Ready Report is complimentary for Fort Myers homeowners and covers roofing materials, flashing, ridge caps, underlayment condition, attic moisture and gutters. Read our Fort Myers hurricane roof inspection guide.
Typical roof lifespans in our climate: asphalt shingle 10 to 15 years, concrete tile 20 to 25 years (the underlayment beneath the tile usually fails first), metal 40 to 70 years.

- Licensed, insured, and permitted on every job. Lee County permit and final inspection included.
- 10-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty.

How a Fort Myers roof replacement works with us
- Inspection and estimate. We inspect the roof, photograph everything, and give you a written estimate with material options and colors.
- Permit. We file the Lee County permit and handle the Notice of Commencement.
- Installation. A foreman is on site every day. Old material is removed, decking is checked and repaired, underlayment and the new roof go on, and the property is cleaned with magnets for nails.
- Final inspection and warranty. The county inspects the finished roof. You receive your warranty documents and a wind mitigation inspection form to give your insurance company.
Financing and insurance
Roof replacement can be financed through the PACE program and other options. Read PACE Program and International Roofing. If your roof was damaged by a storm, we document the damage with photos and a report you can give your insurance adjuster.
Fort Myers roofing questions
Yes. Lee County requires a permit for any roof replacement, and the finished roof must pass a county inspection. We file the permit and schedule the inspection for you.
Most single-family shingle and metal roofs take two to five working days. Tile and larger homes take longer. Weather in the summer can add days, and we will not leave your roof open when rain is forecast.
Often yes. Florida insurers weigh roof age and construction heavily, and a new roof with the right attachments usually earns wind mitigation credits. Ask your agent which credits apply.
Both. We repair every type of roof, 24 hours a day, and we will tell you honestly when a repair is the better choice.
